It also assists its development in several ways. Since 2004, BDIX has been working to improve Internet infrastructure in Bangladesh by supporting the intercommunication between different ISPs in the country. BDIX is a not-for-profit venture of the Sustainable Development Networking Foundation (SDNF) Bangladesh.
BDIX is an Internet Exchange Point (IX or IXP) of Bangladesh which is the physical infrastructure through which Internet service providers (ISPs) Bangladesh and content delivery networks (CDNs) exchange Internet traffic between their networks.
